Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-18
This policy explains what the Road Rage game for iPhone, iPad and Android (“the game”) collects and how it is used. Questions: support@roadrage99.com.
The short version: there are no accounts, we do not ask for your name, email, contact list, location, camera or microphone. Your progress stays on your device. The game shows ads, and the ad service may collect some data, as described below. If the game crashes, it may send a crash report, as described in section 5. Anonymous play stats are off until you say yes.
1. What stays on your device
Your progress (stars, best times, your Gas Money, the cars you own and their upgrades, your selected car, settings, whether you own Remove Ads, and your answers to the questions below) is saved locally in the game's storage on your device. We never receive it. Deleting the game deletes it.
2. Ads
The game is free and shows two kinds of ads: rewarded ads you choose to watch to start a run with a power, and interstitial ads that can appear between runs. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay (a mediation service from Unity, which includes the ironSource and Unity Ads networks) and the ad networks it connects. When an ad is requested or shown, these companies may collect information such as your device's IP address, device and operating system details, the ad you saw and how you interacted with it, and, if you allow it, your device's advertising identifier (the IDFA on iPhone and iPad, the Android advertising ID on Android). They use it to choose and show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, depending on your choice, personalize ads.
Tracking question (iOS). On first launch iOS asks whether the game may track you across other companies' apps and websites, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, the game does not get your advertising identifier and ads still appear, but they are less relevant. You can change this any time in iOS Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
Advertising ID (Android). On Android the ad services may use your Android advertising ID, a resettable ID you can see and control in Android Settings, then Privacy (or Google, then Ads). If you delete your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization there, the game gets a blank ID and ads still appear, but they are less relevant.
Personalized ads and consent. If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or if the game cannot tell where your device is set up, the game asks you once, before any ads load, whether ads may be personalized. Your consent is our legal basis for personalized ads. Your answer is stored only on your device, and you can change it any time in Options, PERSONALIZED ADS. If you decline, you still see ads, just not personalized ones. The game also tells the ad services that it is not directed at children. The iOS tracking prompt above and the Android settings above are separate from this question.
The ad companies act on their own behalf for some of this data. Their policies: ironSource / Unity LevelPlay and Unity.
You can remove between-run ads with the Remove Ads purchase (section 4).
3. Anonymous play stats (optional, off until you say yes)
The first time you open the menu, the game asks “help improve Road Rage?”. Nothing is sent until you tap yes. If you do, the game uses Unity Analytics to record anonymous events so we can tune difficulty and see where players get stuck:
- when you start, finish, fail or quit a level, with the level name and number, the car you picked, whether Free Drive was on, how many seconds you played, how far you got, your stars (on a win), why you failed (on a loss), the power you held (if any), and whether you quit to the menu or to retry;
- when you watch an ad (rewarded or between runs) and whether you earned the reward;
- when you make a purchase.
These events are not tied to your name or Apple ID. Unity Analytics adds a random ID for your install and a random ID for each play session, and it also receives some technical details automatically: your device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, screen size, processor, graphics chip and memory size, battery level, and, on iPhone and iPad, Apple's per-developer device identifier (the identifier for vendor, IDFV). Unity also receives your IP address when your device contacts its servers, and uses it to work out your approximate country. We use Unity as a service provider to process this data for us. Unity keeps it for 13 months by default, then deletes it. Unity's own handling is described in its Game Player and App User Privacy Policy. None of this is sent unless you said yes to play stats.
You can turn this off any time: menu, options, Share Stats. Turning it off stops collection and sends Unity a request to delete the data already sent for your install; Unity may keep IP addresses in its security logs for a limited time.
4. Purchases
The game is free, and you can make optional purchases in it: Remove Ads, Gas Money packs (the game's currency), cars, and Super Juggernaut starts (packs of three). None of them is a subscription. On iPhone and iPad they go through Apple's In-App Purchase, and on Android through Google Play Billing, both using Unity IAP. Apple or Google handles your payment; we never see your card or billing details. The game checks with the App Store or Google Play whether you own a purchase (including for Restore Purchases) and remembers what you own, along with your Gas Money and upgrades, in the local save on your device. If you opt in to play stats, we also record that a purchase happened, without payment details.
5. Crash reports and diagnostics
If the game crashes or hits a serious error, it may send a crash report to Unity Cloud Diagnostics so we can find and fix the bug. A report contains crash logs (the error message and the code path that failed) and device info: your device model, operating system version, app version, language, memory and graphics details, and a random ID for your install. Unity also receives your IP address when your device contacts its servers. The report does not include your name, email or contacts. Unity processes it for us as a service provider, under the Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
6. What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera data, and the game has no accounts, chat or social features. We do not sell your data. We do not use the web analytics or tracking scripts on this website; see section 9.
7. Children
Road Rage is not directed at children. It is intended for players 13 and older (App Store and Google Play age rating 13+) and is not in Apple's Kids category or Google Play's Designed for Families program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
- Say no to tracking in the iOS prompt, or change it in iOS Settings. On Android, opt out of ads personalization in Android Settings.
- Turn off Share Stats in the game's options, which also requests deletion.
- Reset your advertising identifier in iOS Settings or Android Settings.
- Buy Remove Ads to stop between-run ads.
- Email support@roadrage99.com to ask what we hold, or to ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or object. Because we cannot identify you from the anonymous stats, we may ask for details such as your install's date and device to find them.
9. This website
This site is plain pages: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking scripts, no external fonts or CDNs. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log visitor IP addresses as any web host does (GitHub's privacy statement). If you email us, we use your address only to reply.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the game or on this site.
